Dr. George Zivkovic is an experienced full-time Emergency Physician in Ontario, Canada. He is affiliated with Trillium Health Partners, Mississauga Hospital, where he practices full-time Emergency Medicine and currently holds the role of Division Head and Service Medical Director for the Emergency Department. Within the ER setting, he holds a special interest in meeting patient needs by maximizing physician productivity and departmental efficiency. His approach involves outcome-based management using existing hospital and physician level metrics in order to improve overall patient care.  

In addition to his primary role in the ER, Dr. Zivkovic also enjoys working part-time in providing conscious sedation/anesthesia for outpatient endoscopy clinics. His experience working in the ER and providing anesthesia for his patients helped motivate him to also use this skill set in a clinic setting.

Aside from his clinical duties, Dr. Zivkovic also holds the position of lecturer at the University of Toronto, where he consistently engages in education and training medical students and residents.

His enthusiasm for ongoing medical education is portrayed through both formal teaching and  informal clinical supervision across clinical and classroom settings.
