Humberto Urroz Ross is a Nurse Practitioner whose career has taken him far beyond hospital walls — from the emergency department at Humber River Hospital to fly-in Indigenous communities across Northwestern Ontario, where he has spent over a decade delivering primary care to some of Canada's most underserved populations. With 18+ years of nursing experience spanning emergency medicine, chronic disease management, mental health, and prenatal care, Humberto brings a depth of clinical skill that is matched only by his commitment to equitable, culturally sensitive care.

After earning his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from York University, Humberto went on to complete his Master of Nursing — Nurse Practitioner (PHC) at Athabasca University in 2024, formalizing decades of frontline expertise into advanced practice. His work in remote and Indigenous communities has sharpened his ability to operate with autonomy, adaptability, and compassion — often in settings where he is the most responsible provider in the room.

At Own Health, Humberto brings that same steady, patient-centred approach to complex care pathways — supporting high-risk patients navigating chronic illness and transitions across the care system. Bilingual in English and Spanish, he is driven by a belief that every patient, regardless of where they live or what they're facing, deserves timely, dignified, and expert care.
